Financial Goals|Student Support
To concentrate on their studies, students enrolling in the Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics (EMP) are eligible for financial aid under the tuition exemption program and the Financial Support Scheme for Special Fellows. Additionally, students can receive a certain level of financial support for overseas internships, presenting, and overseas traveling expenses.
Financial Support Scheme for Special Fellows
EMP students are eligible for financial support in the form of stipend under the Financial Support Scheme for Special Fellows. Any students receiving other forms of financial aid such as the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship and JSPS Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (DC) are not entitled to apply for the scheme.

EMP students are awarded tuition exemptions as a student of excellence.

Support for Overseas Activities
EMP students are eligible for financial support for overseas internships, presenting, and overseas traveling expenses.
Housing Support
EMP students are offered an on-campus student dormitory room for the first two years.
* The dormitory has communal laundry rooms with washers and dryers. Each room is equipped with kitchen, bathroom, and air conditioning.
* Dormitory fees: approximately 30,000 yen per month at student's own expense. (Include the basis fee for lighting, fuel and water.)
